Essensibility is an interactive and inspirational performance that engages audiences on a journey evoking the forces of nature through the interplay of dance, song, and music. Join for a collaborative duet based on the solo show ‘Faces of Nature’ by world renown Brazilian Choreographer Rosangela Silvestre. Essensibility is the combined energetic forces of Silvestre as essence and Mullen as sensibility and the intersecting paths that creates a language of universality. The performance concludes with a open forum to allow an exchange of questions and answers with the performers and audience members.

The inspiration for AfroCaribe is to celebrate world music, song, and dance through the teachings of ongoing dance classes and specialty workshops. AfroCaribe strives to provide dance classes that uplift the spirit, encourage universal awareness, and inspire positive community contributions. Ongoing dance classes are designed to teach fundamental dance techniques and complex polyrhythmic body isolations that are derived from the influences of the African diaspora. Participants will gain cultural, historical, and social content of the dances and learn the relationship between the dance movement and music. All levels are welcome. A highly trained percussion ensemble provides live music accompaniment.
