This July we have an extraordinary opportunity to be immersed in authentic Afro-Cuban dance and culture. Our internationally recognized teachers, Prof. Kimberly Miguel Mullen and Cuban artist Ramon Ramos will lead us on this cultural exchange expedition.
Who are we? We are a group of ten adults from multiple walks of life with one thing in common: we have had our lives transformed through Afro-Cuban dance. Some of us have been dancing now for many years, and we are delighted to have the opportunity to go to the source of what brings us incredible joy!
Over a 16-day period we will visit Santiago, Baracoa and Havana, where we will have three daily dance classes, participate in an arts festival and live with homestays, immersing ourselves in day-to-day life of the Cuban people.
As you can imagine, we have an incredibly strong desire to participate in this unique experience! However, we could use a little financial boost, and so we are fundraising to supplement travel costs. We would be most grateful for a contribution of any amount to help us in our endeavor. You can also like our Facebook page to help spread the message.
P.S. Thank you for supporting the cultivation of a deeper appreciation for Afro-Cuban traditions and heritage!
